Dr. Patterson
Dr. Carlene Patterson, a proud Arkansas native from Stuttgart, has spent a lifetime doing what she loves most — caring for animals with kindness, compassion, and a whole lot of heart. A member of the Feline Veterinary Medical Association, she has cared for animals for an incredible 62 years, including 37 years as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine.
After earning her DVM from Oklahoma State University in 1989, Dr. Patterson dedicated her career to helping pets live happy, healthy lives. She lovingly owned and operated Sheep Meadow Animal Hospital, LLC, a cozy home-based practice in Ghent, New York, for 25 years before returning home to Arkansas.
Over the years, she has also cared for furry friends at Beebe Veterinary Hospital in Beebe, Arkansas, and The Cats Only Clinic in Searcy, Arkansas. Cats have always held a special place in her heart, and anyone who knows Dr. Patterson knows her life has never been complete without a few feline companions nearby.
When she’s not caring for animals, Dr. Patterson enjoys spending time with her daughter, son, and beloved cats. Her warmth, gentle nature, and lifelong devotion to animals have made her not only a wonderful veterinarian, but a treasured friend to pets and their people alike.
